I'm so happy to announce that Shachah has been free to roam, unleashed for 36 hours now.
And he's doing just great! He even barked a few times during the past two nights.
Here are a few highlights from yesterday's beautiful afternoon.
Megan watching Shachah from a distance. While I was petting her, she actually let Big Guy sniff her for a second...then her anxiety won out and she scooted her little behind over just a fraction. But it was great progress. She didn't growl or snap or run back to the porch.
Shachah and Greta have a timid understanding. They carefully sniff each other when they meet.
Greta is very intimidated by Shachah, but he likes her just fine. He often follows her around the yard...at a distance.
Shachah, taking care of business.
Greta at her skinniest. There isn't much to her when she is shed out.
A happy roll in the grass.
Strrrrreeetttcccchhhh.
Yaaaaawwwnn.
Must be time for another nap.

Wonderful!
I agree, that's wonderful! Shachah is a very lucky dog, I would love to live there myself with that beautiful lake!
Our cats took a long time to get used to Shachah too. He's just a big gentle soul like you said, but he can put on a good front. I'm glad to hear he's barking now too. Thanks so much for giving him such a good home.
We are just loving him, Becky. :) Thank you for letting him come live with us.
(Clancy says it is like having a pet polar bear. LOL)
What a life!
Maybe I'll be a dog in my next life...
